Welcome to AI Tools for Indian Students — India’s most honest and student-friendly guide to artificial intelligence tools for college and university students.
Who We Are
We are a team of engineering and postgraduate students from India who got tired of reading AI tool lists that were either outdated, written for US students, or just trying to sell us something expensive. So we decided to build the resource we always wished existed.
Every AI tool on this website has been personally tested by us. We check the free tier limits ourselves, verify the pricing in Indian Rupees, test whether student discounts actually work with Indian college email addresses, and update our pages regularly so the information stays fresh.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: help every Indian college student find the right AI tool for their specific academic need — for free or as cheaply as possible.
We know that most Indian college students are on a tight budget. We know that many of you do not have a credit card. We know that some tools that are available in the US or UK are restricted or more expensive in India. That is why everything we write is built around the Indian student experience.
What Makes Us Different
- India-First Approach: All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). We test whether student discounts work with Indian college (.edu.in) email addresses.
- Honest Free Tier Reviews: We personally test every free plan and tell you exactly what the limits are — not just “it has a free plan.”
- Last Verified Dates: AI tool pricing and features change constantly. Every page shows a “Last Verified” date so you know how fresh the information is.
- Academic Integrity First: We include responsible use guidelines on every tool page. We want AI to help you learn better, not get you in trouble with your professors.
- No Paid Promotions: We do not accept payment to rank tools higher or write positive reviews. Our rankings are based entirely on our own testing and student feedback.
Our Review Methodology
When we review an AI tool, we test it across the following criteria:
- ✅ Coding and debugging performance
- ✅ Research and summarization quality
- ✅ Writing and paraphrasing ability
- ✅ Free tier actual limits (not just what the website claims)
- ✅ Sign-up process (does it need a credit card?)
- ✅ Availability and performance in India
- ✅ Student discount availability and verification process
Our ratings are based on this testing methodology and are updated whenever a tool makes significant changes to its features or pricing.
